Welcome to the Fukuoka University Graduate School Law course homepage.

This law graduate course was founded in 1965, and has the long history more than 50 years until today.

This law graduate course is divided into the Department of Public Law (including Political Science) and the Department of Civil & criminal law.

There are many subjects about the study of law from Roman law to Intellectual Property Law in this law graduate course. (See staff below).

A study instruction for the foreign students in English, Chinese, French or German is possible.

Study is built around small, but highly interactive classes. You can study everyday with one^on ^one guidance

Here are a master's course and a doctor's course. The foreign student can acquire a degree of the LL.M. (MA) with the master's course in two years and, in the doctor's course, the degree of the Doctor Juris (PhD) in three years.

The master's or Doctor's dissertation thesis can be written in English. There are various facilities such as the comfortable dormitories for foreign students in Fukuoka University.

Fukuoka University graduate School has the special scholarship system for foreign students.

The foreign student can be also employed as a teaching fellow (so called a teaching assistant)

This fellow can get a salary (maximum: 270.000 yen in one year).

Until today many foreign students from China, the United Arab Emirates etc. acquired the degree of LL.M. Or the Doctor Juris in Fukuoka University Graduate School law graduate course.
